Walk in my shoes...

A friend of mine on facebook asked me to:
1. Take a Pic Of Your shoes on your feet (a pair that describes you!)

2. Your Life Story with 4-5 sentences at least (:
3. What You think Your Purpose is, if you think you have one..
4. Something in Your life that has had an impact on you or changed you!
5. Send everything in a message

And so I did... I wanted to use this time to depict my life, but show her the impact of the Lord's gospel through it. So I did the best I could in a short time. With a picture.. barefoot. Cause shoes are lame.
:
Shoes, no bueno. They lock your feet in (maybe my feet just have cluster-phobia), make them uncomfortable, even sweaty at times. I'm not a complete "hater" of shoes, for they do take you where your skin and bones merely can't (unless you want some gnarly damage, it tis up to you). They protect you from sharp rocks, chilly weather, the hot floors, while they at times allow you to go & enjoy certain roller coaster rides.

I rarely wear shoes. When I go out, I'm bound to take them off, but that is just the physical part of it all. I came into this world with no shoes... Adam & Eve didn't need shoes... God did not make shoes... why do I need to wear shoes:(as I dispute with) mr. gas station, miss restaurant, mr. school, and so on.
We are all in the world, which is full of lying, cheating, adultery, etc.. When I people watch (one of the greatest pastimes ever!), I either get lost in my curiosity or my disgust. The latter of the outcomes makes me question HOW can those people be so satisfied with this life of sin. Earth has had only ONE perfect person come to live here, among such ruthless cheaters and liars as myself. God, the Lord of ALL creation, sent His righteous, holy, blameless, perfect Son (Jesus!!!!!) to this wretched earth in order to take His Father's, God's, perfect wrath and judgement away. Jesus did this for us, because He was the ONLY one who could. If EVERY person were to die like Jesus did, we would NOT be AT ALL as close to what Jesus did. This is because, while we have committed sin, Jesus was blameless. When He died on the cross, HE took the wrath of God (the wrath that was stirred because of OUR sin), and it was placed on Him as He died. Can't imagine that weight and pain that He took on, when I am disgusted from just a half-hour of watching others, or after I lie or cheat. But God did not JUST send Jesus, He also forgives. This forgiveness is so beautiful, it cleans us from our unrighteousness; and with our believing IN and living FOR God, for HIS name, to give Him ALL the glory, in ALL that we do...we can spend ETERNITY with HIM. Way better satisfaction than any drugs, alcohol, cheating, sex, or lying could give someone.
I am continuously sinning, sometimes with me knowing it, or not...and that may sound like a scapegoat for living the way I want, and then I can just ask God for His wonderful forgiveness, but that is not how it is. I don't even have a desire to do as I used to (in my sin), for they don't last. But my joy and satisfaction in pleasing and giving God the glory does not end, it just gets better.
So... shoes. My faith in God is sorta like shoes... they help me get through difficult, unwanted times (like rocks, heat, or cold)... they supply warmth and comfort when the opposing surrounds me... and while they may get torn up and beaten, I can renew them, and you could say learn from what shoe to get and not to (in decisions that you will not repeat, and God's forgiveness, that cleanses us).
God is love, and love is real.

may You be glorified in me, Lord.

barefoot is preferred

Dress sizes...Hair styles...The moccasin versus the casual chucks...Lipstick & lib-balm.
: Identities are first defined (usually) by the appearance. Immediately you classify the person before you as---the hipster, the druggie, the lovely, how droll (etc.). These titles do not alter nor transfigure, unless a new impression is to be introduced. These new introductions of character could be confirming as you had supposed, or may be quite the opposite of your guess. To be so blunt in your character and style, that one does not need another lick to confirm your flavor. Rather to feign with multiple alias', for you yourself are lost as to who you are. Here we go, as I [attempt] to address these two dominant parties: of the abrupt, straightforward, and the complex, confused.

To the blatant. You are foreign to me, and at times I am rather envious of your confidence. Now, you could be incredibly true, or rudely and confusingly a liar. The first may be depicted in how sure & positive you are; no hesitation is produced from thee. You know what you desire, despise, merely enjoy, are enticed by, and what to keep clear from.  It seems like a simple life to me; I would not know. This type of manner and culture amazes me. Though for the manipulative liar, I pity you. For while you know, you only know OF it. You thrive for such character, but tis all a pickle. While you may contain a peace in knowing what you are so keen on, the pain in not achieving it..prevails. What a restless culture to live in, and by.

To the fraud, I know you well. We are acquaintances of multiple visits. You may not recognize me, for I have changed multiple times. This lifestyle may be seen as both spontaneous and unsure, for you wish not to dwell on what you lack or need to conquer, you merely do.
For me, my meetings with you were not based on physique, but on philosophy, and beliefs, and often the morals of society. We are not friends. For I envy the confidence (which you lack) of the blunt, and how fluently dauntless they are. Yet I remain a consistent visitor of the feign. Well, easily seems a bit derogatory, perhaps well0liked is simple enough. Not even that...Tis the mere welcome, and lack of questions.

Once while out to dinner with some old friends and a bit of family, my friend's father dissected our characters... one by one. His interpretation of me was saddening, and led me to question myself. Lately, I am defined by my spontaneous actions taken, or as the "church hippie". What a bother... to be called mysterious, and not figured out. It did not bother me too bad, & it remains so presently. I should not care of such definitions. For I am a pretender.
I've constantly been searching for my passion in life. My passions do not truly change, but there are those that I choose to pursue. Nor am I confident which shall be my next prey. Though I CAN be confident in one thing..I am His :
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." --Ephesians 2:10

Loco, man. When we are so sinful that God's awesome gift of salvation saves us from all our disgusting and foolish actions, that led us from Him...Even while He is truly blameless, He took the wrath of God... a rage that should have been given to us. And he placed all that weight of judgment on one man, His Son, Jesus.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." --Romans 3:23
With a wonderful purpose.
"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." --Romans 6:18

& I remain sure & confident through Him.
"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." --Philippians 4:13
"In him and through faith in Him we may approach God with Freedom and confidence."--Ephesians 3:12

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." --Mark 10:45
"This is my prayer & my plea
That You be glorified in me.
Hallelujah, o' Your love
It will forever be enough."
--Daniel Ma

My confidence, and even more, my satisfaction, is in the Lord. For He saved me from death, and has supplied me with joy in glorifying Him, which is all that I can do in return. How mere our response is, yet tis SO very needed, and SO VERY necessary, and deserved.

g'night blogspot. Sleep tight.
